Greenville Middle School Band members honored during recent Board of Education meeting
During the recent Butler County Board of Education meeting, a ceremony recognizing members of the Greenville Middle School and Greenville Highschool All-State and Honors Band occurred.
The All-State Band, which is the highest award you can get in band, required each student to try out and compete against multiple students from their district for a spot in the band. The students from Greenville Middle School and Greenville Highschool are from district eight.
The following Greenville Middle School students were honored during the meeting:
Sophia Shealy – Clarinet – All-State and District Honor Band
Ella Gates – Alto Saxophone – All-State and District Honor Band
Lexi Lett- Trumpet – All-State and District Honor Band
Sarah Parrish – Trumpet – All-State and District Honor Band
Eva Shealy – Trumpet – All-State and District Honor Band
Lola Miller – Flute – All-State and District Honor Band
Kenidy Watson – Flute – All-State and District Honor Band
Mason Godwin – Trombone – All-State and District Honor Band
Tyler Ball – Percussion – District Honor Band
Leigha Ridgeway – Alto Saxophone – District Honor Band
Katie Nimmer – Flute – District Honor Band
Greenville Middle School had the highest number of their students to go to the all-state band this year.
