Several community members of Lapine and Highland Home joined forces to clean up their roadways.
A total of 176 garbage bags were filled with trash discarded on New Ebenezer Road Saturday. Tires and other large items that were dumped on the side of the road were also collected.
New Ebenezer Baptist Church has been heading up the road’s cleanup efforts the last few years. Highland Home School’s Blue Crew, Commissioner Raymond McGough and his wife Kathy, and some of the road’s residents pitched in to help with the much needed cleanup.
