Lady Tigers awarded Class 2A Runner-up in Regionals

The road to state ended in Montgomery as the Luverne Lady Tigers fell to St. Luke’s Lady Wildcats Friday afternoon at Garrett Coliseum with a final score of 64-32.

The Tigers came out strong, immediately sinking a two pointer. The wildcats quickly found their groove, gaining and maintaining the lead throughout the game.

The Lady Tigers struggled to make a basket the second quarter. St. Luke played a good defense, keeping Luverne off their game.

The Wildcats were leading 46-24 at the end of the third quarter.

The Tigers had 28 game turner overs that the Wildcats used to their advantage; 35 points came from turnovers.

Whitney Novak led the Wildcats with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Lamunique Bowie followed close behind with 20 points.
