If you are in need of a private applicator permit, the Crenshaw County Extension Office is offering the training and exam for the permit.
Anyone who uses or supervises the use of any restricted use pesticide for producing agricultural commodity on property that is owned or rented or on the property of another person if applied without compensation is considered a private applicator.
Applicator permits are required for farmers, nursery owners, pond owners, and forested landowners who use restricted use pesticides.
Training and testing will be held March 11th from 9 am – 1 pm at Tom Harbin Ag Center on Airport Road.
The training and test are free. A $25 check will need to be mailed with the test following the class to cover the cost of the permit.
Register by calling the Crenshaw County Extension Office at 334-335-6312.
