The Alabama Department of Transportation said this week that the Patsaliga Creek bridge replacement is coming along.
Brantley Kirk, public information officer for ALDOT, said that the traffic has been turned onto the first half of the new bridge.
“The contractor is beginning to remove the old bridge,” she said. “ALDOT urges travelers to be mindful of crew members and equipment and slow down to the reduce speed limit to 25 mph in the construction zone.”
Kirk said the bridge replacement began in the spring 2020 and the contract was awarded to McInnish Construction Inc., out of Summerdale, Ala., for approximately $10.8 million.
