Mr. Billy Reynolds Jeffcoat, 59, a resident of Rutledge, Alabama, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, January 31, 2021. A graveside service for Mr. Jeffcoat was held at 2 PM on Wednesday, February 3rd, in Chapel Hill Cemetery with Brother Scott Gafford officiating and Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.
Mr. Jeffcoat spent many years working at Hainje’s Furniture Store in Greenville and the Winn-Dixie warehouse in Montgomery. He eventually returned to the thing he loved the best, his farm. There were few things he enjoyed more in his life than working on his cattle farm. He liked to stay busy, so he always had his hands working on something, usually his vehicles or farming equipment. Above all, however, he loved to spend time with his family. He was a loving son, brother, and uncle who held a special place in all of their hearts. He will be sorely missed by all of them.
Mr. Jeffcoat was preceded in death by his parents, Dorsey Reynolds & Melba Cosby Jeffcoat. He is survived by his seven siblings, David Jeffcoat, Jimmy (Elizabeth) Jeffcoat, Glenda (George) Bryan, Gloria (Lamar) Defee, Becky (Buddy) Broadway, Mike (Melinda) Jeffcoat, and Ricky (Donna) Jeffcoat; thirteen nieces & nephews; and several great-nieces & great-nephews.
Active pallbearers were Ricky Jeffcoat, Adam Jeffcoat, Stanley Defee, Hunter Defee, Buddy Broadway, Jimmy Jeffcoat, John Defee, and George Bryan.
