Maddie Smith signed a softball scholarship with Enterprise
State Community College on Friday, Jan 22, 2021. She is a
pitcher and plays second base for the Luverne Lady Tigers.
Some of her impressive stats include a 2.44 ERA, a 4:1
strikeout to walk ratio as a pitcher, while also posting a .343
batting average as a hitter. In 2019, Maddie helped lead the
Lady Tigers to an area championship, regional runner-up, and
to the final 8 in the state tournament. She was also named
team MVP in 2019.

“Maddie leads by example on and off the
field. She has a tremendous work ethic and competes every
day. She is a great leader and a joy to coach” said Dale
Simmons, Luverne softball head coach.
