Crenshaw County Schools will continue with virtual learning as cases in Crenshaw County continue to rise.
“It was the hope and intention of Crenshaw County Schools that students would return back to traditional school on Jan. 11, 2021,” said Superintendent Dodd Hawthorne. “However, with the continued rise in COVID-19 numbers all Crenshaw County students will remain virtual the week of Jan. 11-15.”
Hawthorne said administrators hope that students can return to in-person learning on Tuesday, Jan. 19.
“A decision regarding whether to return to traditional school or virtual will be made weekly,” he said. “More information will be coming soon regarding instructional material and the availability of meals. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but we feel as though this is in the best interest of our students, faculty and staff.”
