There were up and down results for all the Fort Dale Academy Basketball squads last week as the boys’ and girls’ team took on Ezekiel Academy.
The JV Boys team looked to be facing defeat after they trailed the Knights 34-15 after three quarters; however, they mounted an incredible comeback in the fourth, – outscoring EA 25-2 and securing a 40-36 victory to open their season. Sawyer Fossett lead the scoring attack with 13 points.
The varsity boys’ team did not do as well as they fell to the Knights 52-25, after only scoring 11 points in the first half.
The JV Girls team were able to secure a victory, as they crushed EA 37-21 with an extremely solid defensive effort. The Knights were only able to score six points in each half.
Finally, the varsity girls fell in a heartbreaker to EA, 49-48. FD had a 35-25 lead after the third quarter, only to see EA go on a 24-13 in the fourth to secure the victory.
