A new store has opened in Georgiana.

The new Family Dollar and Dollar Tree combo opened its doors two weeks ago, but on Saturday held a ribbon cutting celebration.

District Manager Tim Love said the store will employ 10-12 employees.

Love said the new concept includes two names under one and includes products from both stores.

“It’s brand new for 2020,” he said. “This is one of 17 in the company right now.”

Love said they were excited to open the new store.

Mayor Jerome Antone and city council members along with store employees were on hand for the ribbon cutting.
