Mr. James “Buddy” Henagan, 67, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, June 30, 2020. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 3rd, in Providence Cemetery with Revs. Bobby Weeks & Charlie Sankey officiating and Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.

Mr. Henagan, being gifted with his hands, was an assembler for Dorsey Trailers, and was a fixture in his community for most of his life. In his free time, he loved taking care of his animals and his gardens. He was also an avid fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, who loved his family more than anything else. He leaves behind a wealth of memories and funny stories to live on in all those he leaves behind.

Mr. Henagan was preceded in death by his daughter, Heather Lynn Alsbrooks; parents, Emmett & Annie Pearl Kennedy Henagan; and brother, Mickey Lamar Henagan. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Lynann Walker Henagan; their three sons, Kirk (Crystal) Alsbrooks, Matthew (Kristi) Henagan, and Nathan (Dusty) Henagan; six grandchildren, Ryan (Heather Marie) Alsbrooks, Raegan Alsbrooks, Walker Alsbrooks, M.J. Henagan, Morgan Henagan, and Alex Chambers; brother-in-law, Frank (Kathy) Walker; and sister, Maxine Linzy.

Active pallbearers will be Ryan Alsbrooks, Walker Alsbrooks, M.J. Henagan, Scott Walker, Chad Martin, and Cooper Martin. Honorary pallbearers will be David Henagan, Michael Henagan, and Alex Chambers.
