Mr. Thomas Ray Kiser, 85, a resident of Sardis, Alabama, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2019. Funeral services for Mr. Kiser were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 31, from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home with Brother Jeff Grimes and Brother Steven Foster officiating. Interment followed in Sardis Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.

Mr. Kiser proudly served his country with the United States Army. He would later retire after 40 years of service with the State of Alabama. Additionally, he was a lifelong farmer, which allowed him to indulge his love of animals and the land. He was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ in Sardis and always put God first in everything he did. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. He adored his family, and did everything he could to ensure his family stayed on the straight and narrow path. His grandchildren fondly remember his blunt style of telling them exactly what he thought. His loving presence will be sorely missed by all those he leaves behind.

Mr. Kiser was preceded in death by his grandson, Jacob Henry Money; great-grandson, Braeden Godwin; parents, Sam E. and Lillie White Kiser; and three siblings, Olean McVay, Shelby Stringer, and Roy Kiser.
