A Celebration of Life Service was held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July, 30, 2019, from the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel in Georgiana for Dannie Joe “Fuzz” Duke, 87, of Greenville, who died on Sunday, July 28. Burial followed in Hopewell Cemetery. The Rev. Larry Gaston officiated. A Gathering of Family and Friends was held from noon until service time on Tuesday, July 30.

His parents, CB and Lalar Duke; brothers, Clarence Duke, Crandle Duke, Otto Duke and Shelton Duke, and sisters, Clara Bell Moore and Edna Mae Duke, preceded Fuzz in death.

Survivors include his nephews, O’Neal Moore and Rodney Allen Duke, and nieces, Mattie Duke Blackmon, Stephanie Duke Pierce and Debra Faye (Danny) Scruggs.

Active pallbearers were Keith Duke, Greg Duke, Rodney Duke, Stephen Barker, Charlie Sexton and Frankie Schofield. Honorary pallbearers were Landen Bethel, Brayden Yelder and Kayden Yelder.

Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana directed.
