Reginald Lee “R.L.” Henry

A Celebration of Life Service was held at noon on Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at White Chapel-Greenwood Funeral Home in Montgomery for Reginald Lee “R.L.” Henry, 90, of McKenzie, who died on Thursday June 6. A committal in Greenwood Serenity Memorial Gardens followed. A visitation was held from 11 a.m. until service time on Tuesday, June 11.

Reginald was born Oct. 17, 1928, in Tallapoosa County to Lela Arcadia Henry and Leo Gertis Henry.

Mr. Henry worked as a switch operator with the railroad industry for many years. A member of the Railroad Union, he loved trains and John Wayne westerns. He will be missed by his family and friends.

His wife, Berlene Henry; son, Donnie R. Henry; father, Leo Gertis Henry and mother, Lela Henry, preceded R.L. in death.

Survivors include his daughter, Connie Rose (Alex); daughter, Karen Odom (Dennis); eight grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
