Mrs. Faye Carnley Riley, 78, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2019. Funeral services for Mrs. Riley will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 30, from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Lowery officiating.
Interment will follow in Luverne Emmaus Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Riley was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She dedicated her life to caring for her loved ones, and no one could have done it better.
She had the soul of an artist, loving to paint, sing, and play the guitar.
While she was able to, she was also an avid reader.
Her loving and tender care will be missed by all those she held dear. Mrs. Riley was preceded in death by her husband, Henry B. “Pete” Riley; and her parents, Henry Albert and Mabel Carnley.
She is survived by her three children, Greg (Lori) Riley, Theresa (Ricky) Free, and Sonya (Robert) Palmer; four grandchildren, Wesley (Lisa) Riley, Adrienne (Bryan) Cox, Heather Free, and Chad (Torrie) Free; four great-grandchildren; and a special loved one, Larry Shiver. Active pallbearers will be Jeff Riley, Phil Riley, Greg Poff, Allen Holland, Kip Smith, and David Coggins.
Comer Carpenter, Billy Carpenter, and Frankie Carpenter will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 – 11 a.m.
