A Celebration of Life Service was held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 22, 2019, from the Johnson Funeral Chapel for J.D. Tolbert, 71, of Georgiana, who passed away on Friday, April 19. Burial followed in Buckaloo Cemetery. The Rev. Ricky Crysel officiated. A Gathering of Family and Friends was held from 9:30 a.m. until service time.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Tolbert of Georgiana; daughters, Misty Tolbert of Greenville and Jennifer Brooks of McKenzie; sons, Jonathan (Sania) Tolbert and Troy Reaves, both of Georgiana and Adam Reaves of Texas; brothers, Max Tolbert of McKenzie and Marvin Tolbert of Georgiana; 17 grandchildren; one great grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews.
