Valentine’s Day is tomorrow and one lucky couple will enjoy a prize pack valued at nearly $500 thanks to several local businesses.
Andrew and Stephanie Griffin of Greenville beat out nearly 50 other couples and were named The Greenville Advocate’s 2019 Cutest Couple Contest winners. They were selected by an out-of-town newspaper that was provided photos of all entries following its entry deadline last Friday afternoon.
“We were overwhelmed with the outpouring of support for the contest,” GNL Publisher Adam Prestridge said. “Entries trickled in slowly at first, but once word spread, more and more entries began flooding us. In total, 47 couples entered the inaugural contest. We appreciate all of the couples’ participation; they were all cute in our books.”
As the winning couple, the Griffins will enjoy dinner at Wintzell’s Oyster House in Greenville and a movie and snacks from The Edge 8 Theatre. In addition, they will be awarded a bouquet of flowers from All Occasion Creation, $50 gift certificates from Priester’s Pecans and The Pine Apple, 18 holes of golf and cart fee for two from Robert Trent Jones Cambrian Ridge and a one-year subscription to The Greenville Advocate.
“We appreciate all of our sponsors’ participation and look forward to next year’s contest,” Prestridge concluded.
