The Georgiana Panthers hosted, and won the 2018 Georgiana Christmas Clash last Thursday. Both the Lady Panthers and Panthers’ varsity teams won the first place prize over Opp.

The boys knocked off Opp 64-48 with Chris Mixon leading the way. He had 19 points and 14 rebounds in the win with Lecedric Haynes scoring 17 points and pulling down 15 rebounds.

The Lady Panthers won the tournament in dominating fashion by beating Opp 56-27. Tanasia Gordon had 20 points and Angel Haynes scored 18.

For the boys, Christian Williams, Lecedric Haynes and Martavius Payton were named to the All-Tournament team. Chris Mixon was named the tournament’s MVP.

Georgiana’s Gordon, Mia Crenshaw and Brianna Cheatham were named to the All-Tournament team for the girls. Haynes was named the tournament’s MVP.

The boys are now 9-2 on the season, and the girls are 6-5.
