According to officials with Butler County Schools, all classes will be in session on Wednesday, Oct. 10, as anticipation for Hurricane Michael grows. This announcement was made earlier this afternoon.
“Following consultation with EMA officials, it appears that at this time the hurricane is on a more easterly track and therefore there is little potential for severe weather to impact our area,” officials said in a statement. “Weather conditions will continue to be monitored.”
Fort Dale Academy officials also consulted with EMA and the Greenville Police Department and have decided to follow normal school hours Wednesday. If a change in dismissal time is warranted, parents will be notified with a call and email.
Seniors, however, will not be allowed to leave campus for lunch as usual. All after-school activities and practices have been cancelled for Wednesday.
More closures will be reported as information is made available.
