A Celebration of Life was held on Monday, Sept. 24, 2018, at Johnson Funeral Chapel for Mazie Norrell Gandy, 90, of Georgiana, who died on Sept. 22. Burial followed at Flat Rock Chapel Cemetery. The Rev. Herbert Brown and the Rev. Allen Stephenson officiated.

Her husbands, James Norrell and Lester Gandy; sister, Vivian Coleman, and brother, Buddy Coleman, preceded Mazie in death.

Survivors include her daughters, Kathy (Gary) Bozeman of Georgiana and Joreka (Allen) Pitts of Greenville; son, Jimmy (Patricia) Norrell of Niceville, Fla.; sisters, Maxine Coleman and Joan Tyree, both of Greenville; brother, Don Coleman of Milton, Fla.; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren with No. 10 on the way.
