A Celebration of Life Service was held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 21, 2018, from the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel for Jimmie Joe Sharpe, 81, of McKenzie, who passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 19. Burial followed in Macedonia Cemetery. The Rev. Isaac Kervin officiated. A Gathering of family and friends was held from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Friday, Sept. 21.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Sharpe of McKenzie; daughters, Dawn (Jay) Smith of Hawthorne, Fla., and Daphne (Butch) Berrios of Dothan; stepsons, Tommy (Donna) Bush and Rodney Bush, both of McKenzie; sister, Tammy (Mike) Scanlon of Montgomery; brother, Darrel Sharpe of Millbrook; seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that everyone plant a tree in memory of Jimmie.
