Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at McCullough Funeral Home in Warner Robbins, GA at 11 a.m. for Wanda Faye Miller McClure, 84, of Warner Robbins.
On the afternoon of Monday, August 27, 2018, Wanda Faye Miller McClure passed away peacefully at Heart of Georgia Inpatient Hospice.
A visitation was held yesterday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Pastor Ed Chambless officiated the funeral services. Following the service, Mrs. McClure will be laid to rest in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
She was born in Greenville on July 13, 1934 to the late Obie Earl and Lillie Mae Newton Miller. A graduate of Wesleyan College, she was a retired Bibb County early education school teacher. Mrs. McClure was a very active member of Mikado Baptist Church and Baptist Women in Ministry (BWIM). She served as a past librarian at Tattnall Square Baptist Church and enjoyed painting in her free time.
Mrs. McLure parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Phillip Wayne Miller; and grandson, William Michael Griggers.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her beloved husband of 63 years, Walter B. McClure of Warner Robins; loving children, Sherree Quackenbush of Macon, GA, Darryl W. McClure (Stacey) of Atlanta, GA, and Deana M. Griggers (Billy) of Byron; grandchildren, Stephanie DeFoe (Sean), Sondra Wilson (Clay), Matthew McClure, Daniel and Hannah Griggers, Sarah Quackenbush and James Griggers; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Slade, Caysie, Addyson, and Declan; siblings, Ronnie Earl Miller and Debbie Blackmon (Mike), both of Greenville, Gary Miller of California, and Michael A. Miller (Lisa Martin Miller) of Prattville and a number of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Wanda to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Dr., Warner Robins, GA 31088.
