Donald Leo Manning Sr.

Donald Leo Manning Sr. 90, a resident of Camden, died Saturday, March 17, 2018 at his home. 

Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at the Camden Church of Christ at 11 a.m. with Minister Rodney Tidwell officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing.  The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service time.  Burial will follow in Union Cemetery in Georgiana at 2  p.m.  Mr. Manning is preceded in death by his parents Earnest & Estelle Manning and brother, Connie Manning. 

Mr. Manning is survived by his wife of 71 years, Carole Bishop Manning; three sons, John (Prissy), Don, J; Paul; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and brothers, Harry and Harold Manning.

In his younger days Don was an avid fisherman and liked to take the boat out and troll the gulf.

He was also an avid Braves fan.  Mr. Manning was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary when he lived in Mobile and was a Mason for many years. He was employed by Alabama Power for 42 years and retired in 1989.  Immediately after graduation in 1945, Don attended Auburn University.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Camden Church of Christ in honor of Mr.

Manning.
