With spring comes many new arrivals, including the new boutique located in downtown Greenville.
The Last Blossom opened its doors this past month.
Owners Amanda Griffin and Brandy Morris are excited for the months ahead. Griffin and Morris originally met in college.
“We worked together in college. […] We’ve always wanted to do something like this.” Griffin, a newcomer to the Camellia City said, “I’m excited to meet new people and see new faces. I am also definitely excited about seeing us grow and bringing something new to the town.”
Beginning in November, the business partners opened a virtual boutique online. “We started online in November, but we knew we wanted to open a store, we just did not know when to open it,” added Griffin.
The building itself is very unique. Griffin said, “I’ve heard stories that there was a grocery store and ice cream parlor in here.”
Morris found the building last summer deciding it would be perfect for any business investments in the near future. Because of her photography business, Morris had originally thought about using the building as a studio. With the success of the boutique online, the two saw this space as a chance to start something new. “We would do trunk shows, and eventually decided to open this,” explained Griffin. Moving into the building was challenging, but worth it.
She said, “Brandy’s husband built that wall. These walls were yellow and blue so the painting was difficult. We wanted a rustic, modern look.”
The store is open Tues.-Sat. from 10-6:30 and 10-5 on Sun. Open later than most businesses downtown, Griffin shared, ”We figured 6:30 would give people time to come by after work.”
The inventory ranges from baby to women’s clothing. She said, “We have three months sizes all the way up to 3X in adults. We try to get new inventory every week.” The Last Blossom is located at 710 Courthouse Square.
