Two Greenville men have been charged in the rape of an 11-year-old girl.
Kenquandrez Scarver, 19, and Travius Le’Varus Scarver, 20, have been charged with two counts of second-degree rape each for a series of sexual encounters with an underage girl throughout the span of nearly a month.
Justin Lovvorn, chief of the Greenville Police Department, said that the instances occurred on separate occasions. He added that there was no further violence of any kind involved.
“Investigators went through the case and interviewed them, and they did admit to the sexual acts with the juvenile,” Lovvorn said.
“They claimed they weren’t aware of her exact age, but the facts are what they are.”
Both men are currently being held in the Butler County Jail. Bail has been set for each at $40,000.
