Michael Wayne Defee

Mr. Michael Wayne Defee, 47, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2017.  Funeral services for Mr. Defee were held at 11 AM on Monday, August 21, from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Jones officiating.  Interment followed in Rutledge Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.  Mr. Defee served for six years as a volunteer firefighter with the Luverne Fire Department. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Vernon and Cuba Defee and Buddy and Jeanette Hall.  He is survived by his wife, Jean Mosley Defee, seven children, Johnathan Defee, Lacey (Zeb Chandler) Defee, Preston Defee, April Jordan, Ronnie (Mandy) Faulk Jr., Tess (Hunner) Moody, and Monica (Daniel) Linton, ten grandchildren, parents, Jimmy and Alice Hall Defee, two sisters, Regina (Chuck) Gorey and Lisa (Scott) Smith, brother, Gary (Melanie) Defee, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.  Active pallbearers were Bradley Gorey, Wesley Hall, Jared Hall, Brandon Defee, Jason Defee, and Nuby Defee.  The Luverne Fire Department served as honorary pallbearers.
