Sammie Phelps Salter, 79, died on Saturday, March 11, 2017.  Graveside funeral services with Air Force military honors were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Sunrise Memorial Park with Reverend David Wood officiating and Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home directing.  The family received friends from 10 until 10:45 a.m. prior to services at Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home.

Ms. Salter is survived by her daughter, Pam Salter (Tim Blackwell); son, Shane Salter; grandchildren, Heather Blackwell and Caden Salter; brother, Sidney Phelps; and a host of nieces and nephews.  Pallbearers were Jason Skipper, Ernie Fussell, Michael George, Brad Heartsill, Josh Booker, and A.J. Robinson.
