Shayla Terry has been hired to lead coverage of Crenshaw County as Editorial Coordinator for The Luverne Journal.
Terry, a recent graduate of Troy University with a bachelor’s of science in multimedia journalism, hails from Brundidge, Alabama, where she was a graduate of Pike County High School.
Terry joined Greenville Newspapers, LLC in February 2016 as an intern with The Journal.
“My time with The Journal has been a great learning experience,” Terry said.
“I am happy to be given the opportunity to grow in the Crenshaw County community, and foster growth within our publication.”
Since joining GNL’s staff, Terry has covered a variety of events, and has proven instrumental in the production of The Luverne Journal.
“Shayla has been an asset to our staff since she first came to us last year,” said Beth Hyatt, editor of The Luverne Journal.
“I know she will face this head on and will be able to do any task that is put in front of her. Not only will she complete these tasks to the best of her ability, but she will ensure that the end result is fantastic.”
