Nancy Shambray

Funeral services for Ms. Nancy (Mary) Shambray were held on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2017 at 1 p.m. from Butler Chapel AME Zion Church.

Rev. Robert Shuford served as officiating minister. Burial followed in Magnolia Cemetery. Hudson Funeral Services, Greenville, Ala., directed. Ms. Nancy Jane “Mary” Shambray was born on Feb. 2, 1948 to the late Commsee (Rock) and Louise Shambray in Greenville, Ala.

She became a member of Butler Chapel AME Zion Church at an early age.

Mary was a graduate of Lomax Hannon High School’s class of 1966.

Mary was employed at L.V. Stabler Hospital for several years.

Mary was preceded in death by two sisters, Leviticus Trotter and Carrie Taylor; two brothers, Cecil Shambray and Oscar Shambray; and grandson Joe Smith. Mary leaves to cherish her memories three

daughters, Adrienne Venice Shambray, Mona Shelita Shambray and Nikkita Nicole Shambray; brother, Bernard (Jean) Shambray; three sisters, Zula Shambray of Greenville, Ala., Hazel Benion, Detroit, Mich., and Sarah (Huey) Ferguson, Cincinnati, Ohio; four grandchildren, Willie G. (Ariel) Presley Jr., Montgomery, Ala., Saquon Miles, Saquoya Finklea and Eryn Shambray, all of Greenville, Ala.; two great grandchildren, Quentin and Carson Presley of Montgomery, Ala.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted friends, including two special ones, Mrs. Bobbie L. Kemp and Mrs. Peggy Howard.
