Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Mae Smith were held on Thursday, Aug. 18, 2016 at 1 p.m. from Dunbar Recreational Center. Bro. William Rudolph officiated. Burial followed in New Hope Churchyard Cemetery. Hudson Funeral Services of Greenville, Ala., directed.

Mrs. Ida Mae Smith was born July 16, 1939 to the late Elizabeth Briggs and John Cook in Greenville, Ala. She was added to Hickory Street Church of Christ on May 2, 2000.

She was preceded in death by her two daughters, Brenda and Elizabeth Smith; four brothers and one sister.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories two daughters, Patricia Smith and Shirley (Ozell) Smith; two sons, James (Mary Ann) Smith and Ray (Belinda) Smith; sister, Judy (Robert) Thompson; a loving and devoted friend, Earl Aceman; uncle, Tommy (Johnny Boy) Crenshaw, 17 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
