Crenshaw County public fishing lake temporarily closed July 18

Crenshaw County public fishing lake will temporarily close on July 18, 2016, due to the resignation of the lake manager. The Alabama Division of Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries (WFF) will begin accepting applications for the position immediately.

The lake manager position is contracted with the State of Alabama for a three year term, which is renewable at the discretion of the state. The manager is required to live at the lake, and housing is provided. Duties include the sale of fishing licenses and permits, grounds maintenance, store management and other related responsibilities. An investment is required to meet the initial needs of daily operations.
