Former Georgiana mayors Mike Middleton and Lynn Harold Watson want their old jobs back.
Both have qualified to run against incumbent mayor Jerome Antone in the municipal election Aug. 23.
Middleton served one term as mayor before being defeated in the 2012 election by Antone. Watson previously served as mayor of Georgiana for 20 years before serving a four-year term on the Butler County Commission.
Voters will also elect new council members in the August election.
In District 1, Brandon Peavy and Trenton Pressley have qualified, while Johnny Mack Colvin has qualified in District 5.
As of Monday, no incumbents on the city council had qualified, according to city clerk Ann Browder.
Lisa Lowe (District 1), Gwendolyn Crittenden (District 2), Jacqueline Gandy (District 3), Clementine Pugh (District 4) and Byron Ward (District 5) currently represent the city’s districts.
Qualifying ends July 19 at 5 p.m. Forms are available at Georgiana City Hall.
