James Marsh

Memorial services for Mr. James Marsh were held on Saturday, July 2 at 2 p.m. from Mt. Olive AME Zion Church. Rev. Gloria Moorer Johnson officiated. Burial followed in the churchyard cemetery. Hudson Funeral Services of Greenville, Ala., directed. On Oct. 30, 1941 a precious little boy was born to the late Mr. Ephraim and Mattie Lee Marsh. Their first son, James Edward Marsh, was the second of three beautiful children. The late Nobie Marsh Baine, the big sister that everyone wishes they had and Ephraim Marsh Jr., a little brother that everyone dreams of. His Spiritual guidance from youth was at the Mt. Olive A.M.E. Zion Church and Butler Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church. His education was merited in the Butler County School System where he graduated from the Lomax Hannon High School.
He leaves to cherish his memory three children, Dwayne Edward Marsh (Tara), Ashley Jackson and Rhonda White (Jethro); 10 grandchildren, Miracle Chariah Stone, Olivia Marsh, Zavier Marsh, Devon Cole, Jamal Albritton, Maximus Woodson, Schlaya Woodson, Jethro Herbert White Jr., Fantashia R.
White and Faith L. White; one great-grandson, Josiah J. White; two nephews, Stanley Marsh (deceased), and Charles Baine Jr.; eight wonderful nieces, Vanessa (Cornelius), Rhonda, Sonya (Roosevelt), Tammy, Sonya, Sharon and Joy (Tony); special close friends, like a brother Mr. Joe Bozemon, and Erica, Madelyn, Lynn and Ms. Mami.
