Margaret Ann Jenkins Carden, 86, a resident of Pine Apple, Ala., died at her home Monday, June 13. The funeral service will be Wednesday, June 15 from the chapel of Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home at 10 a.m. with Rev. William Leverette officiating and Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow at Awin Community Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 14 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home.

Mrs. Carden was preceded in death by her husband, Mitchell S. Carden; daughter, Pennye Rogers; son-in-law, David Rogers; and her grandson, Jeremy Burroughs. She is survived by four daughters, Rebecca Ponder (Arnold) of Pine Apple, Ala., Trudy Foy (Barry) of Pine Apple, Ala., Mitchellene Works (Randall) of Pine Apple, Ala., and Sharon Burroughs of Greenville, Ala.; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Nita Hardee of Monroeville, Ala.; two sisters-in-law and a number of nieces, nephews and other family members.

Mrs. Carden retired after 40 years with the United States Postal Service as the Post Mistress of McWilliams Post Office.
