Daisy L. Stone Palmer

Funeral services for Mrs. Daisy L. Stone Palmer were held on Thursday, May 26 at noon at Pine Top Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Rufus Johnson was the officiating minister. Burial followed at Pine Top Cemetery. Hudson Funeral Services LLC of Greenville, Ala., directed.

Mrs. Daisy L. Stone-Palmer was born May 27, 1938 in Greenville, Ala., the youngest of 15 children to the late Arasher and  Alice Stone.

She confessed Christ at an early age and remain a faithful member of Pine Top Missionary Baptist Church until her death. Her love for Christ was unselfish, unyielding and undying. She attended Pine Top School and worked for the McGowin Estates for 25 years.

She met and married Elijah Palmer to this union four children were born.

She was called home to glory on May 18 at Baptist South Hospital in Montgomery, Ala.

Daisy was preceded in death by her son, Larry Palmer; sisters, Katie Howard, Lula (Eugene) Roshell and Lucille (Ellis) Grace; brothers, Nelson (Minnie) Stones, Richard Lee Stone, Walter (Lena) Stone Sr., Lewis Stone, James Stone and Curtis McCoy; and brothers-in-law, Comer Allen and Bob Dale.

She leaves to cherish her memories loving and devoted husband, Elijah Palmer; sons, Bruce (Irene) Palmer, Millington, Tenn., and Ronnie Palmer, Greenville, Ala.; devoted daughter, Loletta (Cornelius) Kemp, Greenville, Ala.; six grandchildren, Larry, Khari, Kimmerli (Kelly), Nicole, Jaden, and Kennedy; seven great-grandchildren, Lauren, Leia, Trinidy, Ja’Khari, JaMahri, Ava and Jounei; four sisters, Mary Alice, Lola Allen, Loree Crenshaw and Lobea Stone, all of Birmingham, Ala.; brother, Willie Stone; devoted cousin, Willie Mae Robinson, and host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
