Mr. and Mrs. David Gorum of Evergreen announce the engagement of their daughter, Delana Gorum, to Ryan Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Smith of Greenville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Eddie Lee Sasser and the late Mr. Ray Sasser,  Mr. Ralph J. Gorum, and  Mrs. Vonell Gorum of Evergreen.

She is a 2011 graduate of Sparta Academy and a 2015 graduate of Troy University with a Bachelor of Science in communication arts.

She is currently employed with Troy University as an admissions specialist.

Mr. Smith is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Bush, Mrs. Betty Smith, and the late Mr. Clarence Smith of Greenville.

He is a 2010 graduate of Greenville High School and a 2015 graduate of Troy University with a Bachelor of Science in business administration.

He is employed with Insurance Solutions Group of Greenville.

The wedding will be held Saturday, May 7, at 5 p.m. at Evergreen First United Methodist Church.
