Camouflage may not be traditional church attire, but members of Brushey Creek Baptist Church are hoping to see plenty of churchgoers dressed in just that manner later this month.
The church is hosting its annual hunters’ supper on Jan. 30.
“We’re looking for a huge turnout. We want folks to come right out of the tree stand if they want,” said Darrell Sanders, a member of Brushey Creek Baptist Church. “We’re trying to reach people that maybe don’t typically go to church.”
Amos Grayson will serve as the speaker for the event.
The menu will include chicken strips, hush puppies, French fries, coleslaw, baked beans and dessert.
Organizers are also encouraging those who’d like to bring a dish to do so.
The event is slated to begin at 6:30 p.m.
