The Georgiana varsity boys remain undefeated after the Panthers successfully repelled the invading Red Level Tigers 71-48 at home Tuesday.

The Panthers now climb to 15-0 overall and 3-0 in Class 1A Area 3.

Richard Boggan posted another double-double performance and led the Panthers with 18 points and 12 rebounds.

Three other Panthers reached double digits, including Jacquez Payton with 12 points and JaMichael Stallworth and Demarcush Rich with 10 points apiece.

Javarius Grooms led the Red Level Tigers with 13 points, and Jeffrey Perdue posted 11 points.

The Panthers hosted J.F. Shields Friday, though results weren’t available at press time.

The Georgiana varsity girls enjoyed similar success Tuesday as the Lady Panthers fended off the Lady Tigers 46-26 at home.

The Lady Panthers improve to 7-5 overall and 2-1 in Class 1A Area 3.

Demetra Gandy led the Lady Panthers with 18 points and 10 rebounds.

Tah-Ja Herbert also reached double-digits for the Lady Panthers with 10 points scored.

Hannah Colvin led the Lady Tigers with 10 points.
