Michael Dean “Mike” Pettit, 63, of Montgomery, Ala., passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 29, after a short bout with lung cancer.  Mike was preceded in death by his father and mother, Donald and Georgia Frost Pettit; his infant brother, Roger Dale Pettit; his mother and father-in-law, Katie Lane and Noel Brown; and his sister-in-law, Linda Branch Brown. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Martha Brown Pettit; daughter, Faith Pettit Banks, Montgomery; granddaughters Erica Lee, and her friend Chris McPherson, Prattville, Ala.; Aisha Lee, and her friend Josh Billings, Millbrook, Ala.; grandson, Micah Banks, Montgomery; brother, Lewis Frost, Jr. and his wife Merrill, New Orleans, La.; sister, Donna Pettit, El Paso, Texas; brother-in-law, Lane Brown, Greenville, Ala.; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ruth and Robert Bailey, Greenville, Ala.; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jeff and Cathy Brown, Greenville, Ala.; and a large number of nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home on Friday, Jan. 1, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 2, at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home with Rev.
