Lovilla Moore Davison

Funeral services for the late Mrs. Lovilla Davison (Big Nig) will be held on Friday, Nov. 21, 2015 at 1 p.m. from Poplar Spring AME Zion Church. Rev. K. White serves as pastor. Rev. Anthony Thames will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Ridgeville Baptist Church cemetery.
Mrs. Lovilla Moore Davison was born Jan. 11, 1930 in Greenville, Ala., to the late Cornelius and Rachel Moore.
Lovilla was a fun loving person and well known for her sassy attitude. She received Christ at an early age and was a member of the Ridgeville Church until she later joined the Poplar Spring Church. She loved the church and was a member until the Lord called her home. She departed this life Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2015.
She was married to the late Mr. Alex Davison. She was preceded in death by a brother, Mr. Cornelia Moore Jr., and two stepchildren, Loretta and Kerea Davison.
She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Margaret Powell, Greenville, Ala., and Annie Pearl (Willie) Sanders, Urban Crest, Ohio; sister, Novilla (Earl) Burley, New Orleans, La.; brother, Willie James (Thelma) Moore, Pensacola, Fla.; loving sister-in-law, Annie Lois Moore, Battle Creek, Mich.; uncle, Harry (Dorothy) Scott, Greenville, Ala.; two children she raised and loved dearly, Rebecca Reynolds, and her sister, Lander Murphy of Greenville, Ala.; five grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and seven great-great grand children. And a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
