A single-vehicle crash claimed the life of a Rutledge man. The incident occurred on Star Hope Church Road, two miles north of Luverne, at 7:30 p.m., according to information released by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Isaiah L. Lowery, 20, was killed when he lost control of the 2006 Suzuki CSXR 1000 motorcycle he was operating, left the roadway and struck a utility pole.

Lowery was transported to Crenshaw Community Hospital in Luverne, where he was pronounced dead.

Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
