The 2015 football season brings few surprises with it in tow as Georgiana School recently unveiled its football schedule for the impending fall.
The Panthers will face the same six area opponents in Florala, McKenzie, Pleasant Home, Kinston. Red Level and Brantley.
The former three teams will be faced at home, while the Panthers are set to travel to Kinston, Red Level and Brantley.
Georgiana will open the season against Prattville Christian at home on Aug. 21.
Florala will serve as the Panthers’ opponent for homecoming on Sept. 4 as a week-three opponent.
A three-week period in September could prove to be a tough stretch for the Panthers as they face Brantley on the road on Sept. 11, followed by McKenzie and Greenville at home on Sept. 18 and Sept. 25 respectively.
An identical stretch proved difficult for the Panthers in 2014 as the three teams served as Georgiana’s only three losses during the regular season.
However, the Panthers bounced back to win the remainder of their regular season games and made the playoffs with a 7-3 record before falling to Notasulga in the first round 26-21.
Houston Academy and Highland Home once again round out the list of non-area opponents, with home games against the two on Aug. 29 and Oct. 31 respectively.
