Malcom A. Wilson, age 86 of Glenwood, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2015, at his home in Glenwood.

Funeral services were held at Friendship Baptist Church in the Bullock Community on Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Scott Donaldson and the Rev. Harry Meadows officiating.

Burial followed in the Friendship Baptist Church cemetery with Hayes Funeral Home of Elba directing.

Visitation was held Friendship Baptist Church on Tuesday, June 23, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Mr. Wilson retired from the United States Army where he obtained the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was a Veteran of the Vietnam War and received full military honors at the conclusion of the graveside service.

Survivors include his daughter, Becky Prescott, and son-in-law, Stephen Daniel Prescott, of Glenwood; granddaughter, Danielle Prescott, of Glenwood; brother-in-law, C.E. Beck, and sister-in-law, Shirley Beck, of

Glenwood; nephews, Brent (Paula) Beck, of Glenwood and Hunter Beck, of Troy; great-nieces Whitney Owens and Sydney Moore, of Brantley, and Kynslee Beck and Linlee Kate Beck, of Glenwood; and great-great-niece, Addie Owens, of Brantley. He is also survived by a special nephew-in-law, Chris

Moore, of Brantley.

Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Wilson, and niece, Kim Moore.

Hayes Funeral Home of Elba is serving the Wilson family.
