Funeral services for Mrs. Willie Mae Jones will be held on

Saturday, June 6 at 11 a.m. from College Street Church of Christ.

Bro. Bishnoo Rampersad will serve as minister. Burial will follow in New Hope Churchyard cemetery. Hudson Funeral Services of Greenville will direct.

Jones was born in Greenville on April 23, 1935 to the late Willie and Ethel Mae Easterling. While in Alabama, she met and married James E. Jones and from this union six children were born: Ralph, Leroy (Bo), Paul, Terry, Ethel Mae and Teresa. Honorary kids include Pamela, Tommy,  Edith and Barbara, etc.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Paul; honorary children, James Easterling and Carl; and brothers, John, Fred and Joe.

Jones was a fiery spirit who had the ability to spread love, joy, knowledge and laughter to everyone she encountered. The most important thing to Ms. Jones was family; it didn’t matter if you were blood related—only what was in your heart. In addition to her children, she have three beautiful sisters, Norma Gene, Martha and Elizabeth; a brother, Henry, and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends who were just like family.

Celebrating her home going son-in-law, Steve Powell, Ms. Daisy Lewis,

Makita, Ricky Jr., Clarence, Tiffany, Ricky III, Jonathan, Jordan,

Jessie, Leroy (Von), Terry (JT), Sophia Mae, Brittany, Mario, Stevie,

Sherita and a host of great-grandchildren other relatives and friends.
