An 18-year-old Greenville man was shot and killed Saturday.

According to police, Jerome Watkins was shot multiple times at approximately 3 p.m.

Greenville Police Chief Lonzo Ingram said that the shooting occurred on Fields Street. After being shot, authorities believe Watkins ran to Oglesby Street where his body was later found by officers.

Investigators are currently conducting interviews in regards to the shooting.
