Highland Home principal Randall Fullington and assistant principal Morgan Cook tendered resignations this week.

Superintendent Terry Holley said the resignations were not related.

“Ms. Cook is moving to Georgia. I really don’t know Mr. Fullington’s reasons for leaving,” he said.

Fullington declined to comment.

Cook and Fullington have worked at Highland Home for nearly two years.

Cook oversaw the upper grades at Highland Home and was this year’s head boys basketball coach. She helped the Flying Squadron complete the basketball season after the team had lost two coaches.

Cook and Fullington will continue their tenures through the end of the school year. Their contracts end June 30.

In the meantime, Holley said the search for replacements would begin immediately.

“We’re going to do what’s right for the kids. We’re looking for a good assistant principal and principal to fill the positions,” Holley said.
