A Greenville man died Sunday afternoon in a two-vehicle wreck that took place in front of L.V. Stabler Memorial Hospital on Pineapple Highway.

Christopher Nix, age 26, was pulling onto Pineapple Highway from the Mountain View trailer park and lost control of his motorcycle, GPD Lt. Justin Lovvorn said.

Lovvorn said when Nix lost control, a second vehicle being driven in the same direction struck him from behind.

Lovvorn said Nix was transported to Stablers hospital from the scene of the wreck and was pronounced dead at around 3:20 p.m.

Lovvorn said the accident is still under investigation and officials are still trying to reconstruct the accident.
