The ALFA Foundation, Montgomery, plans to award $100,000 in college scholarships to students enrolled or planning to enroll in Alabama colleges, universities and technical schools. There will be 100 scholarships of $1,000 each.

This program is available for post-secondary undergraduates enrolled or planning to enroll (high school seniors) in two-year or four-year colleges, universities or technical schools. The awarding of scholarships will be based on academic records, demonstrated leadership skills, participation in school and community activities, honors, work experiences and statements of goals and aspirations. A minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale is required. In addition, to be eligible, the applicant must be a member of the Alabama Farmers Federation (membership is available at your local ALFA Insurance office for only $30 per year).
