James D. Bush, 68, a lifelong resident of Brantley, passed away Sun., Jan. 25, 2015. Funeral services were held Wed., Jan. 26, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Brunson Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Gary Daniel and the Rev. Wesley Spivey officiating.

Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Mr. Bush was preceded in death by his parents John L. and Estelle N. Bush; and sister, Betty Murphy. He is survived by his wife, Rose Mary Bush; daughter, Teresa M. Barksdale; son, Jeff Bush (Melissa S.); grandchildren, Garrett, Sam and Weston Barksdale and Elizabeth, Emory and John Bush; brothers, Charles E. Bush, John D. Bush, Benny C. Bush and Rex F. Bush; sister, Martha Diane Sappenfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
