Mickey Powell will take his oath of office as Crenshaw County’s sheriff Friday, Jan. 16, at the Courthouse. Alabama Supreme Court Justice Tommy Bryan, Powell’s cousin, will swear him in at 9 a.m. The ceremony, which will be upstairs in the courtroom, is open to the public.
